The murder of a young coed at St. Catherine’s International Business Institute has the New York Archdiocese calling in their security consultant, Sean O’Riley. His job is basically to assess, contain, and report on the situation, while also trying to work with the State Bureau of Investigations.

SBI Agent Hilary Scott is determined to catch this killer. She is also reluctant to partner with a potentially biased source, but finds herself with few better alternatives in the face of a stalling investigation.

Both are a little surprised by the instant chemistry that exists upon first meeting. But what happens once the investigation is finished? And what kind of information will they dig up? Will they be able to catch this twisted criminal before they strike again?

Those seeking a combination of sizzling romance and nail-biting suspense need look no further. Shattered Legacy offers an intriguing and carefully pieced-together plot, as well as an eclectic cast that all work in concert to make it easy for readers to become immersed in this story. I can always admire a strong, crime-fighting heroine such as Hilary, and was especially fond of Sean’s rather unique mesh of sexy and adorable. Not to mention that this leading couple displays great magnetism. Ms. Rivers also shows a clear effort to bring so many of her supporting characters to life – including the twisted villain – for which she continually accomplished, particularly with Spencer and Cookie. Be prepared, Shattered Legacy will have you hanging on till the last word.
