Seducing the Enemy

Sally Young, a lonely widow in British-occupied Philadelphia, is more than she seems at first glance. She and her brother-in-law, Nathan, run a coffee house, and glean what bits of vital information they can from its customers. They’re doing their part in passing those pieces of information on to the rebels when they’re called to house a British officer in their very home.

Major Jack Tyrell is enchanted and more than a little aroused by the gorgeous blonde widow; perhaps they can find a pleasurable way to while away the hours between his assignments. When one of Sally’s fact-finding escapades nearly gets her captured, how far will she go for her country?

Seducing the Enemy is a short, erotic novella of intrigue and danger set in the 1700's as America fought for her freedom. Sally is a spunky and passionate creature, and watching her discover her hidden sensuality was a treat. Jack was commanding and showed his feelings in an incredibly touching way, not to mention his capacity for the arts of the bedchamber. I admit to being a bit disappointed in the ending; I was hoping for things to go in another direction entirely. Seducing the Enemy is a well-fashioned story about seduction and spies, and garners Three Angels.
