Shorts by J.M. Snyder is a homoerotic contemporary anthology encompassing fourteen short stories about man on man interactions. The stories all have different themes and are complete by themselves. The themes vary from holidays to work situations. According to J.M. Snyder, each chapter has a story behind it, whether it is a personal experience or a just try it subject.

The first story, Joyride, is about two bikers meeting up at the persistence of the younger biker. Brad, the younger biker, has a thing for Mack and what Brad wants Brad gets! The story is very hot and the plot line does a great job in supporting the characters. I love Brad's character! He is a very cute guy, but he definitely backs up what he promises.

Next, A Little Something for Santa is a short about a young man who as you could guess wants more than the usual present from Santa. Patrick, the young man believes that giving is better than receiving and he takes this thought all the way, if you know what I mean! This is one of those stories that is SOO wrong that it is right. I loved this story for all the right/wrong reasons.

Next, Poolside is about Kevin, a life guard, who has an encounter with Danny, a secret crush, at the pool where he works. Danny takes matters into his own hands and things get hot and heavy.

Pony Play is different than any of the others stories in this book. The main character, Drew, is invited by his friend Sean to go to a Pony Play day at the local Bondage Group that he belonged to. Sean had invited him before, but Drew only agreed after Sean told him that there were guys his type there and that sex was a definite. This story was everything that is stated and more. The interactions between the characters were very interesting. I have never been to one of these clubs, but they sound unique!

Escape takes place on a distant world that is colonized only by clones. Davin, one clone longs to meet someone that doesn’t look like himself. When a convict ship crash lands, Davin gets his wish. Davin risks everything, but the rewards to him are immeasurable.

The rest of the short stories are as good as the first four were. The plot lines were clever with the right amount of characterization to allow the characters to come alive for the reader. The unique plot lines allowed the reader to see a variety of situations that were entertaining and very hot!! I hope that Mr. Snyder to write more books in the genre. Thank you for writing a very interesting book.
