Trilogy No. 106: Nice & Naughty
Cat Johnson is back and so are the firemen you loved in Opposites Attract. This time they are doing more than saving lives, they are posing nearly nude in a calendar. The results for these brave men are almost comical when the calendar comes with a live bachelor auction. These three stories deliver the fresh dialogue, humorous encounters, and romance I have come to expect from this author.
In Secret Recipe, Scott O’Malley comes to the rescue, but in the least likely place, the kitchen. Who knew going to the grocery store would introduce him to a desperate lifestyle host who can’t boil water. Agreeing to help her has Scott feeling a sensual heat he doesn’t want to put out.
Not to be left out, the lovely photographer for the calendar meets her match in Mr. December. When Tessa goes to take pictures of Mr. December dressed as Santa, she is in for a surprise. It seems an extremely attractive store employee is filling in and flirting with her. Will she be just as happy when she learns who her Santa is?
Finally, Can’t Buy Me Love sees yet another firemen coming to the rescue of a damsel in distress. When overworked Zoey takes on too much and literally knocks herself out, Gordy is more than happy to help out. The attraction is instant, but Zoey is making some major changes in her life and she’s not sure a hunk for auction is what she needs.
Trilogy No. 106: Nice & Naughty is sure to entertain readers. Fans of Ms. Johnson’s trilogies will appreciate the appearance of past characters while getting to know new couples. The plot development is not overly complex, but given there are three stories in this collection it is not surprising. Instead the strength of these stories is in the characters and their very realistic, entertaining experiences. Scott O’Malley and Gordy are both overall good guys, while Zoey’s man is suave and charming, and all are sure to strike a chord with women. Ms. Johnson’s smooth writing and subtle humor always leaves me with a smile and ensures her trilogies have something for everyone.
