Havoc Retreat by Karen Mandeville is a scenic trip through Australia’s rainforest. This couple is beset by Murphy’s Law, Katie must have trouble for a middle name; think it, say it and it happened and it appears to have rubbed off on poor Matthew. This was a quick trip with a comedy of mishaps that the lovers survived.

This is a fresh start for Madeleine, the past six months have been tough since her breakup and starting over with a new job is the plan. Maggie Nash has a surprise in store for you and Madeleine with The Executioner. The man who is the angst of all Madeleine’s woes is the man in charge, or so he thinks. Nick’s idea to entice Madeleine back ripples out of control with a sudden death out in the wilds of Western Australia.

Sarah Dickson’s imagination went deep blue with Hooked. A lively swim with a shape-shifter and a man on the rebound. Life is tough when you’re only half human and it will take a special man to accept those differences. Each has secrets that are hard to share but maybe not so hard to understand.

Digby was Regan’s brother’s best friend when they were kids and Regan had a massive crush on him. They meet again as “United Air Medics” Regan is all grown up and a nurse now while Digby is the staff doctor running the show. This story is set in the future with a space ship and autopilot. (How else can they be alone and have any fun) Although times have changed many attitudes about physical appearance have survived into the future. Regan is a full figured woman and believes Digby still has teenage beliefs about large women. A challenge is offered and accepted, but it turns into more than either thought possible. Operation Seduction is a futuristic fantasy by Angela Verdenius.

Beth Brown has been offered a trip she never dreamed of getting. Visiting Paradise by Jessica Dee brings two wonderful characters together. Joe Cannon fell for Beth when they met at work but Beth has been burned on the job before. She feels for him but doesn’t want to get into another bad relationship. Her beliefs are to keep work at work and home at home. Joe believes Beth feels the same, and he has issues of his own to overcome. Will Visiting Paradise bring them together?

Boys Down Under was a delightful romp through the wilds of Australia, from the rainforest to exotic isles, a trip to the future and white sand beaches. This anthology was full of mini trips to a place I’d love to visit. The characters were great, Is Australia known for alpha men? I’d love to find out. You need this read in your bag. Stalled in traffic, visit to the doc’s office, all of those short waits that abound. You can visit Australia and be home in a few.
