Software developer Haley Thorne is spending some time much needed R & R at her isolated cabin, at her doctor's insistence, when Detective Jeremy Pickett shows up at her door, a dead ringer for the star, "Jay", of her erotic dreams. In Haley's Cabin, author Anne Rainey quickly sets the stage for Jeremy's appearance with an intense dream featuring Haley in a ménage with the "Jay" look-alike, and another woman. In coming to understand that the "other" woman is a reflection of herself, Haley is able to open herself to the reality of Jeremy. And what a reality he is!

Ms. Rainey has successfully taken a dominant Alpha, and imbued him with qualities of consideration and tenderness, making him one hundred percent irresistible. He has met his match with Haley, who although vulnerable, does not quite qualify as altogether submissive. In this way, Ms. Rainey has created believable characters, avoiding the cookie-cutter trap, breathing life into each one. The reader can only hope Haley and Jeremy both recognize their passion for what it is: true love. Five Angels
