Mortified Matchmaker

Some days Matt Campbell hated his job, and today was one of them. He had finished a big undercover operation for the Special Investigation Unit and was looking forward to some time to be himself. Instead, his boss told him that he was going undercover as a funeral director in order to get the boss of a dating agency to take him under her wing and teach him about dating. The dating agency, Dreams Unlimited, was under investigation for charging people outrageous sums of money for men to meet women. The co-owner, Jane Melissa Morgan, was the target of the investigation. The problem that Matt was having with Jane was that she does not appear to be the person that he expected her to be, she seems like a different person.

Melissa was going to kill her identical twin sister. Melissa took a two week vacation so they could spend some time together, and when Melissa arrives Jane is gone. The only explanation that Melissa had was a note saying that Jane needed some time off, and would Melissa please help her out by taking over the business, Dreams Unlimited? Melissa knows nothing about running a dating agency and she was flabbergasted when she met her first client. He’s a funeral director and knows nothing about dating, nothing about women, yet he makes her want to know him better.

There was nothing about this book that I didn’t like. It has humor, tension, mystery and the story hooked me the minute I started the book. The story flowed smoothly all the way until the very end. As the story progressed and the sexual tension between Matt and Melissa came to a head, Alexis Fleming did an amazing job of bringing Matt’s self-confidence to the forefront. She does this so well that Melissa herself tells herself that, “Matthew Campbell seemed to be an entirely different man.” Ms. Fleming is getting a 5 angel review and a Recommended Read on this one and I’ll be looking for more of her work.
