She’s No Angel
Mike Taylor is on his way to see his grandfather. He never expects to run into a luscious brunette walking down the road barefoot and swinging a tire iron in front of a sign that says “Trouble Ahead”. Mike is a New York City cop and is used to dealing with people in all kinds of trouble, but he is totally intrigued by this woman. Considering he’s from the big city, Mike never expected to run into any kind of trouble in the small town of Trouble! He wants simply to talk his grandfather into going back home and then getting back to his “normal” life. Unfortunately, his idea of normal may never be the same after meeting Jennifer Feeney.
Jennifer Feeney was looking for a gun to take out her two aunts when she meets Mike for the first time. Although that sounds bad, all she really wants to do is to take them to an “assisted living” program and get them out of the run down houses in which they currently live. Did the sisters like that idea? Not unless finding all of her clothes strewed out on their front yard when Mike gets her back to their houses is considered good. Like Mike, Jennifer is not looking for any kind of trouble, but she seems to have found it when she discovers she has a stalker. It’s a good thing that the man she met in Trouble, Mike Taylor, also lives in her town of New York.
This may very well be the best Leslie Kelly book that I have ever read. It has all of the things that you love in a book. It has romance, with two different couples, it has mysteries, it has suspense and enough humor to keep you laughing all through out the book. The suspense really drew me into the book, as there was no way you can read this book and not get caught up in the mystery. She’s No Angel is loosely connected to Here Comes Trouble, and although the first book does not have to be read in order to enjoy the second book, I personally think you will enjoy it more if you do. The aunts that Jennifer is trying to kill are a real hoot and are introduced in Here Comes Trouble. I will be breathing down Ms. Kelly’s back until the third book is finished because I have to know the third secret that surrounds this quiet, pensive town of Trouble, Pennsylvania.
