Book four in the Sterling Files series

Sterling is sure its organization can help the good doctor but his ability to sense the evil in others makes it impossible for them to send in just anyone. Sure that Dr. Alison Cunningham has what it takes to bring him back alive they send the out of shape, woefully inexperienced doctor on the hunt. Using only her handful of experiences and her ability to identify his location, Alison may have to decide if saving Henri’s life is more important than her own.

I’ve been wondering if the magnificence synonymous with Sherri L. King was a thing of the past. With her last couple of novels providing only a smidgen of her past flair I was concerned that maybe the well of creative juices had run dry. I’m happy to report that Hyde wiped that thought out within the first couple of chapters. Arrogant scientist gone rabid at the hands of his own research was just the foundation of what turned out to be a risky venture between two people, more explosive than a raging firestorm when in each other’s presence. The sexual alchemy between Henri and Alison was gratifying to explore. Tense and pugnacious, I was sweating as I read through a story that connected to me on an intimate level. The self-repercussions, the awareness of mankind’s shortfalls and just the willingness to put everything you have on the line and risk the ultimate. I can’t say enough about Ms. King’s latest but I will finish with a word of advice, don’t miss out!
