Bewitching the Bachelor
Although the men in his family seem to die at an early age, reporter Luke Hale isn’t researching the curse on his family because he’s worried that he’s next in line. He’s just trying to find a good story…or that’s what he keeps telling himself. When that research leads him to Bianca Honeywell, a descendant of the witch who cursed his family and a true witch herself, Luke is skeptical yet also intrigued. Bianca has either conned the entire town of Bristol or she truly has some strange powers, Luke can’t decide which. Either way, once he meets Bianca and convinces her to help him research the curse, their lives will be forever changed.
Bianca has lived her entire life under the “Honeywell Curse” and the eagle eyes of the press. She doesn’t trust Luke as far as she can throw him, but once he appeals to her to help him, she gets to know the hunky reporter and realizes there might be more to him than meets the eye. Will they discover how to break the curse before Luke becomes the next victim?
Bewitching the Bachelor is an intriguing tale of witches and curses that will leave you laughing out loud, falling in love and searching for more. The pacing of the story was such that there was plenty of time to get to know the characters and the background of the story. Both Bianca and Luke have been affected in some way by this curse created by their ancestors and both are wary. They start off awkwardly yet the attraction between these two is obvious right from the beginning and just builds throughout the story. In addition, I enjoyed watching the trust build between them and only when they accept each other as they are do they truly have a chance to break the curse. There are elements of suspense and danger in Bewitching the Bachelor, but overall this is a lighthearted tale that you won’t want to miss.
