His Valentine

Valentine Harris hates Valentine’s Day and just reading her name you could tell why. After many break ups, she’s tired of going through another V-Day alone so she goes to her best friend, Gavin. Man oh man, this is one V-Day she will never forget for as best friends she never expected he wanted the same thing as her, to have sex. When she propositioned him she never expected he was thinking the same thing. Now that she asked him she’s wondering if she will get a Valentine’s present and more. The question is once Valentines has passed can they go back to just being best friends.

Gavin Kingston has always loved his best friend, Valentine Harris. He knows what she has been up to and all about her love life. But he is always in the background wishing it was him she came to love rather than just for talks. When she asked him to make love to her it was like GOD answering his plea for help or to give him a sign that she felt the same way. This Valentine’s Day is going to be one that he’s going to make unforgettable for her, and he’s going to lay it all out for her this year.

Wow, for a short story this book packed heat and passion all in one. A big suspense for this reviewer was wondering if Gavin will fulfill her wishes or not, and Karen Erickson did a beautiful job on the whole romance between them. The characters each had a trait about them that the reader will love. I loved that Gavin, even though he acts all macho he is a true romantic at heart. It helps to start with friendship for it always grows into something more, and Karen Erickson hit the key with this. For a short story this was beautifully done, and I can’t wait for more from this talented author.
