Where Danger Hides

How would you react if you just had the most amazing sex with a complete stranger and find out that he has been watching your every move? How would you react if this stranger comes back into your life saying that he was hired to watch over you?

The sex was great but it happened during a difficult time, one that Taylor Scott will remember. It happened the night her father, the one she just found out about, told her to go away. Millionaire Josiah Gaines is her real father. All her life she was groomed to be a polite, gentle, socialite never to feel or act, well herself. Her grandparents dictated her life and one night of actually being herself pulls her life upside down. This stranger that she thought she would never see again, well except in her dreams, comes back telling her that her life is in danger. She knows she shouldn’t believe him yet she owes it to her late father to find out who really killed him.

Noah Cantrell is a man who has done a lot of things in his life he is not proud of. One big one is having sex with the woman he was hired to track. It wasn’t his intention to have sex with her, but once he got to kiss her it was downhill for him. He was hired to keep her safe and to find out if she was really Josiah Gaines’ daughter. He owed it to his best friend but never knew that by keeping her safe would mean losing her heart. In the past he was betrayed by the same society that Taylor grew up in, and it is hard for him now to believe that she might come to have feelings for him. Somehow he has to protect her and find the people behind his best friend’s murder without getting in too deep with Taylor.

Okay this is the first time I have read from Desiree Holt, and it won’t be my last. Noah has this vulnerability of trying to find love yet readers will feel for him for the betrayal of his old flame. Then you have Taylor, who readers will empathize for this woman who never knew her father yet grew up in a home where there was really no love just rules to follow. The story line was great, loved the action and man the passion was one word, hot. Great job, Desiree Holt, and I highly recommend this story to other readers. Can’t say too much for it would ruin the story but this one you’ve got to pick up.
