I Shagged the Sheriff

After spending several years away from her hometown during college, Daisy Mae Partridge is glad to be back in her town and plans to enjoy the summer before she goes back to “real” work in the fall. She is really glad to be greeted by her high school pal Tom Williams. Tom is now the Sheriff’s Deputy, and he is very interested in pursuing Daisy. He has just talked her into giving the situation a try when something happens that will change both of their lives for the next five years.

Daisy moves to another city and Tom becomes the Sheriff of the town where they grew up but now Daisy is back home and they have to learn to survive in the same town. Tom upholds the law, and Daisy sells sex toys in a town where they are illegal to own. Everything is going all right for Daisy until Tom’s mother decides that she wants to have a party. When Tom arrests her things really heat up for them and someone will have to choose. It’s the law for the toys to be outlawed and a lot of the town agrees with the law and they want to run Daisy out of town. The other half wants the law to be taken off the books. Tom must decide where he stands on the issue, and he must decide if he will see Daisy as the woman that she is and if he is willing to stand up to the town to have her as his.

One of the main things that I liked about this book was that it started out one way and then something happened and the book went in a totally different direction. It threw me for a loop when I started the second chapter of the book, but I found out what had happened and then I was hooked on the story. The chemistry between Daisy and Tom was combustible and would have set the pages of a print book on fire within a second. I really liked the fact that they had known each other for a few years, and then the attraction developed. It’s one of my favorite things about a romance. The story was very compelling, and I was very uncertain as to what the outcome would be, You’ll have to read the book to find out for yourself, and I assure you that you’ll enjoy the book if you do that.
