Blood Moon is the second installment in Rose Marie Wolf’s Moon Series. I highly recommend that you read them in order to completely understand what is going on in this novel.

Simon Connor is the leader of a group of hunters. Vicious and brutal he controls his group through fear. But Simon has secrets that he is keeping from his own people and will do anything to keep them.

Rose Sullivan is a werewolf that Simon has kidnapped, and she is instrumental to the success of his master plan. Being kept drugged and isolated Rose spends her time plotting her escape. She believes that she has no one to turn to, and her salvation is in her own hands.

Jason is Rose’s mate. Left for dead at the massacre that took place during Simon’s capture of Rose, he has healed and will do anything to get his revenge and get his mate back.

Blood Moon picks up where the previous book left off. Rose has been captured and all but a few of the PRDI team has been murdered by Simon and his goons. Aided by the other survivors Jason starts out to get his Rose back. An intricate plot makes this a great story. We get a closer look at some of the secondary characters in the last novel and a more in-depth look into Jason and Simon and the forces that have shaped them. All the characters share a similar background and this strengthens the bonds between them. Simon is an awesome villain! You can’t help but to read on in horror at the things he has done and never doubt the things he is capable. It’s like a train wreck you can’t look away from. Jason is still an abrasive, stubborn man, but he does grow in this novel letting others into his world and learning that he has to trust somebody sometime. I’m really looking forward to reading the next installment!
