Altar of Freedom
Crusader Lea Netera Payton, a Holian defender from the future, has a date with destiny. One thing she demands, as a Crusader, is equality. As a rebel from the start, she had been educated in the most respected of Men’s Academy, receiving the highest honors of academic achievements. She learns before she can move on in time, she must first go back a thousand years. With a major mission and others facing her, she telepathically transports herself five days into the Olympia’s Great War with the Phantom Force, to try and keep the mortal race alive. Lord Azaron is the Commander of Almadon’s Realm, and after he sees Lea, she captures his heart. There is so much chaos going on around him that he wishes to stop. He is not happy that some of his people blame Lea for the happenings. Azaron knows without her there would be no Realm. They need more than hope to survive to rebuild Olympia and forge the foundation of the Almadonian Realm and with the bond he shares with Lea, he believes many more people will survive. Lea can only hope that her mission will be able to create the alliance they all need to defend the struggling Realm.
Once I started reading Altar of Freedom I thought I wasn’t going to be able to follow the storyline that I would be lost, but I was dead wrong. The book immediately engages and before I knew what was happening it was like I was transported along with Lea on this incredible mission. I simply adored the telepathic things that happen along the way. The emotions of Azaron and Lea are both so incredibly written that I couldn’t help but share in their sorrows and joys. The strength of their bond is extraordinary. I love the strength of Lea, along with her determination. Denise Fleischer has skillfully crafted a tale that absorbs the reader with every word, and the details are phenomenal. She pens a unique story that allows the reader to visualize the whole turn of events in this fantastic adventure, and how they work together with all the challenges they face.
