Dragonfly Dreams

Jake Coburn hasn’t been able to turn Loral Evans down since he first met her. He adores her when she enters his store but then again he knows she desperately needs money. She has such a charisma that makes his whole body come alive. Loral needs money for some of her grandmother’s jewelry. Jake realizes he really can’t afford to give Loral too much but she needs help. When he sees the dragonfly broach, she hopes he can purchase that as well. He offers her a loan but she would rather sell the jewelry. An offer of a thousand dollars for the dragonfly is nothing like she imagined. Loral has had this flip-flop feeling ever since she met Jake. He is the only one who has helped her with the purchasing of the jewelry. When Loral finally sells the last of the collection, she wonders how she and her mother will make it the next month. She doesn’t want Jake’s charity, but the cost of her mother’s recent surgery and cancer has doubled with prescriptions and other hospital costs. As Jake and Loral’s relationship begins to flourish, Roger learns about the ailing antique shop. Can Loral and Jake survive the promise of a blossoming future after Roger confronts Jake?

I adored Dragonfly Dreams. Once I stared reading, it was hard to stop. It is a tale that tugs at the heart and makes one feel the Christmas season any time of the year. Jake and Loral are likable, sweet, and make a good hero/heroine. Their characteristics bring out their beauty and compassion, not to mention the chemistry that heats between them. Stacey Joy Netzel pens an engaging read where emotions run high and love runs deeper. I like the way she links the two brothers with their confrontations and challenges. She makes Jake a wonderful person that would win any woman’s heart. So sit back and enjoy a page-turner that warms all the way to the toes. You won’t be disappointed in this splendid story.
