A Healing Passion

Natalie Pearson has suffered the most brutal of betrayals, with her wounded heart and soul she struggles to get a grip and self-esteem back.
Conner Paxton just wanted to get on with the rest of his life. He doesn’t want any more complications, especially a relationship.
When they find themselves together for what they think is a one time deal, they’re confronted with emotions too deep to walk away from. Will there feelings be enough to overcome the secret Conner is keeping?

Natalie’s reaction to being betrayed is moving, in the way she looks back on every betrayal ever suffered, and there are a few, and amusing in what she does, and I found myself thinking ‘you go girl’. When she walks into the path of Conner and sets about taking her self-esteem back I could see the look on his face, I felt the astonishment she felt after blurting out her question. Samantha Lucas has done a great job of mixing the chemistry and emotions swirling around these two people. The sex sizzles and leaves you feeling a little hot under the collar. I enjoyed the escalating intimacy, both physical and emotional, and found they flowed very smoothly together and unlike some books both were necessary to the story. A Healing Passion had me going through a range of emotions and I have to be honest and say there were tears in my eyes when Conner revealed his secret. I even had to get the tissue box. Ms. Lucas packs both emotional and sexual punches in A Healing Passion, and if you like your erotic novels with deep emotion this book is for you. I was quite surprised at the depth of feeling this book gave me and I’m looking forward to searching out more books by Ms. Lucas.
