A Greek Affair

Rachel is finally achieving the professional success of her dreams. Who cares if it took a broken heart and traveling thousands of miles from home to find it? Actually, Rachel does, but she’s not admitting that to anyone, especially not the man who broke her heart. When he finds her again in Athens, she discovers their chemistry is just as hot as before. Will she pursue an affair that promises to lead to nothing but another broken heart?

A Greek Affair is a surprising blend of romance and friendship that worked for this reader. I was initially drawn into the story by Guy and Rachel’s easy banter. They had me laughing and getting comfortable with their lives by the second page. The author slowly builds the nuances of their histories and sets the stage for the emotional, romantic encounters to come. When Ben reenters Rachel’s life, her confusion and hurt are almost tangible. Readers can’t help but ache at her emotional turmoil. The love scenes are sensual and they showcase the pent up frustration and longing driving both Rachel and Ben. The additional sub-plot for Guy is a nice addition. The development of the story flows naturally and makes the characters very lifelike in their blunders and successes. The ending will tug at your emotions and make you glad you took time to read A Greek Affair.
