Tobias and Noah are a new couple exploring their BDSM relationship. Tobias is the Dominant, while Noah is the submissive. The first book in this series Deviations: Submission focused on Noah’s character and point of view, while this book focuses on Tobias’ viewpoint.

Tobias needs to adjust to being a Dominant both in and out of the bedroom as he explores his newfound relationship with Noah. He isn’t without his bad memories and wounds, though, and must learn to trust Noah and confide his worries and issues with him. Though this is a subtle shift in their position in the relationship, it may be the only way that Tobias and Noah can move on as a couple.

This is a tour de force example of a character driven love story. I found myself riveted by the complex and thorough characterization and the growing relationship and deep trust that grows between Tobias and Noah. The portrayal of the BDSM world and the way the characters explore the dominant and submissive natures added more intensity and another layer to this very intriguing book. It needs to be noted that while Deviations: Domination does stand alone, the reader will have a much fuller reading experience by reading Noah’s view of their relationship in Deviations: Submission.
