Dead Sexy
Regan Delaney is a no-nonsense, tough-as-nails ex-vampire huntress who knows her way around people as well as vampires. She feels in her gut that the Master of the City, Joaquin Santiago, knows more about the murders that are taking place in You Bet Your Life Park than he is telling the police. Regan plans to get to the bottom of the murders, even if she has to team up with the master vampire Joaquin, himself to find the killer.
Along the twists and turns of the case, Regan begins to realize that not all vampires are evil creatures who prey on innocent humans. She also finds out that vampires are not the only things that go bump in the night, that sometimes there just might be something more evil and terrifying out there, and having a vampire as a partner is not half bad.
Joaquin Santiago is intrigued with the little mortal who claims she is a vampire huntress right from the start, even if she is very stubborn and annoying at times. As they hunt for the evil from his past that is murdering humans and vampires alike, Joaquin is faced with the knowledge that once again his feelings for someone close to him have put their very life in danger. He vows that he will not fail to protect Regan as he did for another long ago.
Will Joaquin and Regan be able to overcome their personal fears to see the happiness that is staring them directly in the face? If they do, are they strong enough to defeat the evil that threatens to tear them apart?
Amanda Ashley has given us a masterpiece in Dead Sexy!! This is a wonderful book where you will feel everything Regan and Joaquin go through on their journey together. Ms. Ashley has given us a great vampire tale with a unique futuristic flavor. Dead Sexy is a very emotionally charged book that has enough sparks in it to light a million candles!! I for one cannot wait to read Ms.Ashley’s next vampire creation, Night’s Touch, which is due out in July 2007, to see where she will takes us next!
