Sight Unseen

Raven Callahan has a special gift. With the touch of her hand she can form a physic link to an object; she uses her gift to help “collect” rare artifacts. Dax Maddox doesn’t believe this particular art thief has changed her ways. The last time he saw her, Raven was sweet talking his then partner while they detained her for suspicious activity. Turns out Raven’s latest artifact ties in to a case Dax is investigating. Circumstances force them to work together and time is running out. With a chip on her shoulder too high to see over, can Raven allow herself to succumb to the attraction she feels?

As a fan of CJ Barry and her futuristic series I was eager to read romantic suspense by her alter-ego, Samantha Graves. I tried to find similarities between the two styles, but after just a few pages in I was so caught up in the story that any ulterior motive was forgotten. Sight Unseen by Samantha Graves is an exceptional book. Raven is a loner and she likes it that way; Dax doesn’t believe that and he’s determined to figure out what makes Raven tick. Reading these two people spar was fun, exciting and at times heart- wrenching. Ms. Graves manages to keep the suspense one step ahead of the reader. You start to think you might have the mystery figured out and then there’s the next plot twist and you’re back at square one. I thoroughly enjoyed this well rounded, passionate story. Between the suspense and the romance, this book is sure to please readers.
