Mists of Manhattan

Vivianne Levy, magic shop owner and High Priestess, knows that something is coming, something evil. It’s Mordred, and he’s come to modern-day New York City to kill Camelot’s king. Mordred has been reborn to avenge the death of his mother, Morgause, and he’ll not be deterred from his mission.

An encounter with a man named, of all things, Galahad and a growing evil in his house spurs Vivi to action. For Galahad is servant to something larger than himself…and Vivi must put a stop to his master, Mordred, who wants to grab for power with Vivi’s passion.

Oh boy, oh boy! I loved this story, and Michele Lang is one of the best at writing tales steeped in Camelot lore and the much-beloved characters of those legends. The gang’s all here – Arthur, Gwen, Vivi, Merlin, as well as some baddies that you’ll love to hate. There are ordinary love triangles, and then there are epic love triangles; the one in this book will knock your socks clean off. The best thing about each of Ms. Lang’s characters is the poignant humanity woven through every page, every conversation, and every scene. Even when worlds are at stake, these expertly crafted individuals shine in such a way that you’ll be fairly drooling over whatever Michele Lang has cooking next; I know I am!

Here’s to Five Angels and a Recommended Read for The Mists of Manhattan’s originality, world-building and amazing characters!
