After a team of renegades infiltrates the Vampire Nation’s newest leader’s palace, she uses contracts out the services of a renowned organization of bounty hunters. Lead in the latest assignment is Jolie, a female shifter who can see this latest job as icing on the cake for the agency run by her family. Ransom and Temple are not only thieves, but also intelligent and dedicated shifters fighting for the displaced and the mistreated. Capturing Jolie opens up a new chapter in the love Ransom and Temple share because their explosive reaction to her presence will either help their cause or create a situation where they will all lose in the end.

Kate Hill provides another action-filled story with her latest Carnal series addition. Carnal Obedience’s plot plays true to some of the disastrous regimes we’ve seen throughout history. The persecution of the “have-nots” to enrich the pockets of others, knowingly or not, has plagued many a nation as it goes through leadership change and evolution. With that said, don’t worry; there is still a lot of pleasure and skirmishes to keep you on the edge of your chair, excited and dying for the next exciting scene. Now that I know how great of a series this is, I plan to play catch up and read the predecessors to this story. The players have cameo roles in Carnal Obedience and I would love to know the history behind those relationships.
