Howling Moon: A Tale of the Sazi

Raphael Ramirez didn’t imagine a late night call would lead him to a situation explosive enough to place the shifter society in an uproar. Summoned by the Chief Justice, a close friend and superior of his, Raphael is sent to secure the councilman’s goddaughter and assist her with an impending change. A change brought about by an attack from a were-jaguar who has the shifter society in a treacherous position of trying to maintain anonymity while trying to prevent the deaths of more innocent women. Raphael is part of a wolven pack of shifters who aren’t too partial to the feline breed and would as soon kill Catherine as see her live. She is an innocent victim whose options are limited since most humans are unable to stand the change and either die a painful death or are terminated after going feral. Even if Catherine survives the change there are others in power that would see her dead and are lurking, ready to finish the job that should have ended the night her parents died.

As a lover of paranormal books I’m always wondering if I will come across a gem when cruising the hundreds of books available in this, at times, over saturated genre. So believe me when I say that Howling Moon is a flawless diamond! A volatile, action and angst filled tale of pack politics, bigotry, and trickery wrapped around a powerful love story is only the beginning. C.T. Adams & Cathy Clamp’s brilliant shifter tale was meticulous and showed me how basic my imaginative powers really are. The story of Raphael and Catherine provided tons of twists and with secondary characters so complex the story would have been hollow without them. I’m ashamed to admit I’ve only read one of the Sazi novels but after reading how it all began I plan on getting the rest of them. This story is for people who want and demand more from their books; love and sex is great but a awesome story will keep readers like myself running back every time.
