Jacob: The Nightwalkers
Jacob has watched his proud people be swayed by the moon and has watched men and women he’s looked up to succumb to the call. He’s been forced time and again to punish those who stray, for their kind cannot mate with the fragile humans that they yearn for. Now, in the most dangerous time possible, not only is he forced to police those he loves, but he also must face the reemergence of an evil that could destroy his entire race. With a quirky human literally falling into his arms, he can’t seem to keep his hands off of her. Even the indomitable Enforcer has been brought low.
Isabella is a bookworm, she thrives on finding information and following the facts wherever they may lead. However, she feels restless, empty. That very feeling takes her to a precarious perch on her windowsill, peering out at the moon. When Fate tumbles her into a stranger’s arms, she finds her eyes opened wide to possibilities beyond even her fertile imaginings.
There have been vampires, shape shifters, ghosts, angels, and demons, but never before has the paranormal been tackled this way. Jacquelyn Frank has created an intricate civilization that is awe-inspiring in its details. She’s taken the unknown and twisted it into a world that feels so real, you expect to find a druid or demon on your very corner. Not only was the plot fascinating and the world fabulously written; the relationship between Jacob and Isabella was fraught with unresolved sexual tension and budding emotions that brought them to life and straight into the reader’s heart. Knowing that Gideon’s story is coming soon, I can only wait impatiently for more from this fabulous new author.
