The Agency: Vanya and Lance

The Agency: Vanya and Lance by J.J. Massa is another must-have book in her Agency Series.

Lancelot Morgan, an undercover agent for The Agency, angrily strides into the office of Dr. Vanya Ambrozak after a sleeping draft made by the doctor fails. What Lance finds surprises him in many ways. The doctor is very young and very handsome, nothing like he imagined. Lance is immediately smitten and when Vanya is asked by The Agency to go undercover, Lance becomes his partner. Vanya has many concerns about The Agency asking him to seduce Dr. Havalon, a member of the Grey Death Terrorist group. Lance takes it upon himself to teach Vanya all he needs to know, to their ultimate satisfaction. Vanya and Lance are sent undercover to a Biochemical convention where Vanya is to interest Dr. Havalon and try to get information out of him the old fashioned way, through seduction. Will Vanya get the information The Agency needs or will Dr. Havalon have his way with him? What will become of Vanya and Lance’s budding relationship if they survive their undercover mission?

The characters of Lance and Vanya are perfect foils for each other. Lance is the worldly and older man while Vanya is supposedly timid and naive about any kind of relationship, intimate or otherwise. In other matters, Vanya is a brilliant biochemist and this is a source of pride for Lance. Lance may be very sophisticated, but he yearns to find one special love to fulfill his life. Vanya has never had so much as a kiss of any kind and when he and Lance first become intimate it is very moving to see how a light seems to shine through Vanya’s eyes; he drinks in the attention like it is a miracle to him. The love scenes between Vanya and Lance are poignant and very visual to the reader. Add to that the action and suspense of trying to prevent a terrorist plot and you have a riveting and spellbinding book that will please all readers. Thanks go to Ms. Massa for another remarkable addition to the Agency Series.
