To Tempt A Wolf
Jace McKenna, pack alpha, has a reputation for being wild and a playboy. Who could blame him? Responsibility fell onto his shoulders at a young age and when the burden was lifted he enjoyed his new freedom to the max. Even so, when he first sees Hayley Moyden he knows she is his mate, the one woman he can have children with. The one he is destined for. So she’s human, that may cause a few problems, but so what? Rather than struggling or cursing fate, Jace accepts that his time as a bachelor is over and pursues Hayley. But will she accept who he is?
Hayley is following her dream. With one book contracted and another begun, she has quit her job and relocated to Whispering Pines to be near her sister. She didn’t expect Jace McKenna, gorgeous, all too sure of himself and determined to have her. Even as they dance around one another she senses he has secrets. She never would have guessed what until the knowledge was thrust upon her. Does she love Jace enough to accept what he is? Will she run from him, or to him?
Have you ever waited an age for a book? I have – indeed, I am. But only To Tempt A Wolf has taken so long I have nearly been in tears. I first began reading eBooks about two years ago, one of the first being Kate Steele’s To Trust A Wolf (the prequel to this tale). I loved it, and knew another book would follow. I just didn’t realize how long it would take. I have been dogging Ms Steele’s footsteps, alternately pleading for this book and a coming soon/WIP page on her website (and am glad to say one has been up a few months now). I am also ecstatic to announce this book has been well worth the wait, everything I could have hoped for. The plot is excellent, solid and smooth flowing. The tale has several levels, including some tension and suspense courtesy of a grudge-carrying chauvinist. The characters are all excellently developed and the sex is described and HOT. No disappointments there! Downside? The ending promises an additional book (which is brilliant!). But surely it won’t take another two years? Noooooooooo! Please, Ms Steele, I am begging! Not another two years! I’ll never make it! What do we need to do? Bribery? Flattery? Blackmail? Coercion? I will resort to any and all measures, I give you fair warning!
