Cajun Fire

Lizabeth Horville is butting heads with her father, Jonah Horville, over her current boyfriend, Daniel Morrow. Daniel has been known to have a bad reputation and her father really would rather have her stay away from him. At eighteen, Lizabeth feels she can do as she pleases. Lizabeth is adopted and gets along well with her mother, Nikki, but since her biological mother, Ida Mae Dugas, confessed Jonah really is her father; things have been strained between them and Ida loves to force that wedge. With all the secrets that have landed in her lap, Lizabeth has been a bit depressed of late, not really knowing what she wishes in life.

Jubal Horville comes into town during the Mardi Gras and meets Lizabeth and heat immediately erupts between the two. He needs to locate his half-brother, Jonas’ and see his father who is dying. His acquaintance with Lizabeth soon turns into much more when they are confronted by family secrets, which could place Lizabeth in danger when greediness enters her domain.

Cajun Fire is a hot, scorching read that brings a variety of characters into play and holds them together like glue until the last page. Lizabeth is a young girl troubled by events in her life and she needs a man to be in charge of her, while searching for her own goals and personality. The stirring conversations with the characters, all play an important role for each member and really makes this one remarkable read. Cheri Valmont details the story of a young girl trying to come to terms with her family and her adoption. She takes a mixture of hunger and envy, along with family secrets to keep the pages turning. The story immediately takes off burning and by keeping the story easily flowing, the reader doesn’t get lost with any of the storyline. The characters emit great emotional sensations, and some hot erotic scenes that smolder the pages.
