Prince of Death

Cynwrig finds an injured Cliothen woman named Ayani. Cynwrig is attracted to her but trusting her is another issue. Ayani does have an ulterior motive. She has been sent to spy on Cynwrig's clan for her Queen. Ayani finds her original mission is compromised by her feelings for Cynwrig.

Cynwrig is a man torn by his loyalty and love for his people and family versus what Ayani can give him. He really likes the sex he has with her and the inkling that there could be something more keeps him from turning his back on her. Ayani is also a character torn between her family and Cynwrig. Her reasons for betraying Cynwrig are to restore her family's honor. The erotic chemistry between them is apparent from the opening pages. They generate intense heat as their desires overwhelm them. Ms. Quinn can write some very descriptive and erotic scenes! Cynwrig and Ayani could have been star-crossed lovers as there is so much going against them but love does prevail!

Ms. Quinn does a nice job of world building in Prince of Death. Her world is fraught with problems, greed and the need for power but the promise of love prevails. Once they find their soul mates, her couples are destined to be together always unless fate interferes. The action is fast paced and the villain is not uncovered until the end. This is an involved story that will fascinate the reader and have them rooting for the lead couple!
