Eagle Clan 2: Destiny
Destiny by L. Shannon is the second book in the Eagle Clan series.
Dan lives with his family, but in many ways he still lives apart due to his unique abilities. His family are Val, a clan of what other people would call werewolves, but Dan seems to be something different. His closest companion, Rath, doesn’t completely understand him, but he remembers that an Oracle told him long ago that a child will help him find his destiny Dan is intertwined with this message. Rath remembers an old memory that he thinks relates him and Dan’s abilities. Dan sees glimpses of the future and past and he uses it to aid the clan and save people's lives. Dan takes Rath to Niagara Falls to look for someone who may hold the key to Dan understanding who his parents were and why he has these powers. Right after they arrive, things start to quickly spiral out of control.
We next meet Destiny who is having her own problems with her manager, Frank, who wants her to give a private dance which she doesn’t want to do. Things quickly get ugly until Dan urges Rath to intervene. Soon we meet Kita and some-how these strangers each has a quest that has a common goal. As Rath spends time with Destiny he feels the pull of a mate, which he has never felt before. Destiny has always dreamed of finding a loving man to settle down with. What will Destiny do and how will she react when she learns Rath’s secrets? Will Dan find the answers he is looking for?
Ms. Shannon has created a new and fascinating book to the Eagle Clan series. I love how Dan’s story and search is incorporated into Rath’s story. There are many fascinating characters in this book. Grant's character and his connection to Dan’s mysterious father adds a tone of mystery that still needs to be solved at the end of this book. Rath is a very deep person who has needs that the average individual would not see. Destiny is a loving mother who will do anything to protect the ones she loves. When you add all the paranormal twists, you have a spell-binding book that kept me enthralled until the last word. I will be waiting for the next installment of the Eagle Clan series.
