The Devil in Cowboy Boots

Medical transcriber, Mercy, is frustrated with her career. Mercy takes a much needed vacation. Traveling from her hometown in Pennsylvania to Texas she meets up with her oldest and dearest friend, Cindy, looking for some hot sensual encounters without attachment. At the same time Mercy’s hoping to ask her Uncle Parker if he will loan her money for college tuition.

Uncle Parker seems to have disappeared. She cannot get in touch with him. Waiting for her Uncle to show she spends her nights at Uncle Parker’s bar, the Starry Night Club. Mercy’s attention is drawn to a tall, sexy cowboy. Mercy throws her cautious self to the wind and has her way with the man called Sinner. Cindy warns Mercy about Sinner and his type but Mercy is having fun on her vacation. Could Mercy’s heart be softening towards Sinner…more than a one night stand?

Sexy Sinner is on a mission. He needs to find the person who perjured him on the stand, after his best friend Mark was killed, implicating him. He wouldn’t forgive Mark’s killer. Nor the time he spent in jail. Sinner didn’t expect Mercy to open his hardened heart. He wasn’t ready for a relationship beyond a one night stand….or was he?

Meanwhile the love starved orphan, Cindy is involved in some strange office politics. Will Cindy’s need to be loved make her a victim for someone else’s gain?

The Devil in Cowboy Boots has many elements within one novel. Mercy, Cindy, Sinner, and Uncle Parker among other equally important sub-characters make for an intriguing read. Sylvie Kaye packs many sexual experiences, romance, deception, friendship, and wraps it all up within the last few chapters brilliantly. Sylvie’s characters have substance and the story flows so well, entangling all of the many elements very seamlessly. The Devil in Cowboy Boots is a well rounded read with a beautiful end. I’m a sucker for happy endings. If you are too, do not miss Sylvie Kaye’s The Devil in Cowboy Boots.
