Of Lilies

Of Lilies is actually two short, short stories in one. The first story is Of Lilies, the mysterious supernatural story of a man questing for something between the sleeping and waking worlds that he just might end of finding, and find much, much more than he was bargaining for. The second story, Cherie, is about a sex advice columnist who lets her mind and attention wander dangerously to a man, as many women do, only to find a bright sort of redemption can sometimes be found in unexpected accidents.

I really enjoyed both of these stories. I reserve five angel ratings for those stories that really fill me with the flavor of a world and an encounter very quickly. Both stories suit that need. The first is certainly erotic, although without blunt terminology, something I find always intriguing and taking a special talent. The second is a hundred times more tame, but still provocative in its own way. It is just the right set of stories, designed to go together in a way, a tease to keep you guessing. They are perfect quick escapes into fantasy moments for those without the time for more complex world-building but crave all the impact.
