Dooley Robbins is a retired cowboy that’s working in Hollywood helping these dumb as rock people when they need horses for their movies. And as fine as this Hollywood actor is, the only thing missing is the man returning Dooley’s interest.

Tyler Garrison is an up and coming Hollywood actor and while he loves what he does, Tyler hates the lying and scheming. But what he hates the most is hiding that he is gay – it would ruin the whole action hero image. When Ty meets Dooley he can hardly hide his interest, but he tries as the man is obviously straight. But when Ty is caught ogling Dooley, Ty admits his interest fully expecting a brawl, but he is pleasantly surprised that his interest is returned.

Typical of BA Tortuga’s work, Just Like in the Movies is an incredibly erotic romance. Dooley and Ty are, on the surface, opposites of each other, but deep down they are both looking for the same thing: companionship, acceptance and constant lava hot sex. These two are wonderful to read about, they are funny, surprisingly honest and bone-meltingly hot. Just Like in the Movies is a great read with its snippets of the life Dooley and Ty share during the eleven years of their relationship that the book spans. BA Tortuga did a masterful job of presenting the growth of the relationship between Dooley and Ty and the passion they share. Dooley and Ty are scorching and you can’t help but feel a part their passion as you read about it. I have to say that Just Like in the Movies has all the elements of a great m/m romance: passion, love and a little bit of every day life.
