Code Name: Bikini

After being injured during a mission gone awry in Qatar, Trace O’Halloran is ordered to take some R&R aboard a cruise ship. Soon after, he encounters Gina Ryan in a third coincidental meeting and nothing for either of them is ever the same. Trace’s simple R&R turns into something far more sinister when an enemy thought dead also turns up on the ship. He’ll have to use every skill he possesses to keep Gina safe and still complete his mission.

In Code Name: Bikini, Christina Skye has crafted a high-tech, action-packed romance that is also quite amusing. I haven’t read every book in the Code Name series, but nonetheless, the story flowed well. But by not reading every book, after reading Code Name: Bikini I really want to go back and see what I’ve missed. Before meeting Gina, Trace knows exactly what he’s doing; he has a clear path. After meeting her, he struggles with his duty to his job and his growing feelings for Gina. Meanwhile, Gina has troubles of her own. She’s keeping a secret from everyone, sometimes even from herself, but as she continues to deteriorate keeping that secret is getting harder and harder. There’s a lot going on in this book, but Ms. Skye has penned it so well that readers won’t get confused and will stay engaged. It will be interesting to see what Christina Skye has in store for this Navy SEAL team next.
