In Heat

I love Felicity Heaton and her genius mind has done it again. As a reviewer it is hard for me to like a shape shifter, but Erik Blackwell is one panther I wouldn’t mind having. For 27 years he has dreamed and fantasized about his mate. He knows for a fact she is out there but not sure if she realizes that some of the dreams are real to him. Once he comes face to face with the dream girl Kim, he’s ready to make his move. He’s not the only one who has smelled his mate, his brother Alistair has found her as well. One contract has brought them all together and might be the death of Erik. All he knows is that no one will get to his woman except him. The question is once he has been with Kim can he confide in her about his true identity.

Kim has had dreams of a stranger for so many months she knows his touch, caress, and his ticklish spots and when he purrs. Yes which is weird to her but all she knows is she has the best orgasms with his touches and kisses. Is it real? When she comes face to face with him it makes her all hot and bothered. More hot than ever when he accidentally touches her during meetings. He’s not the only one who wants her for Alistair wants her also and will do anything he can to put a wedge between them. She knows Erik is hiding something, especially when the contract comes up that is making her wonder about Erik’s family history. Can she go on with this passion with Erik and not get hurt? Will she be able to accept Erik when the truth comes out about his true identity?

I didn’t think Felicity Heaton would blow me away but she did it again with In Heat. I so hope this is a series for I would love to see what will happen once Kim comes in heat again with Erik. Now here is a man who will make you all hot and bothered yourself. Countless times throughout the book I had to stop for the passion between these two was sizzling, and I wondered where does Felicity Heaton come up with these story lines. I felt sorry for Erik in a way for his doubts and worry about losing his mate especially once you hear about his family. The estrangement between the brothers is one to read and the hate between them is not your typically brother rivalry. Kim, now here is a woman who can hold on to herself but like Erik wonders about their love. This was an awesome job and highly recommended; I just hope there’s more about Erik and Kim to come.
