To School a Cowboy
Boone Dalton loves his little girl to death and will do anything to make sure his ex-wife doesn’t get her again. The time they were separated almost killed him. He’s weary of anybody getting close to his little girl but somehow his little girl has fallen in love with her teacher. Now everyday she is talking about Julia and its making Boone somewhat crazy. He doesn’t know whats so special about Julia but one look at her and he’s smitten. However, Julia has a secret and each time Boone tries to pry in her past or show her some romance she pulls away. Boone knows that she will be a perfect mother, well to his kid, but he is wondering why a beautiful woman like her keeps denying the romance between them. All he knows is that it’s something about her past and he’s determined to find out what it is.
Julia Seymour is a woman on the run and has been for a year now. Someone accused her of kidnapping a child and only she knows the real truth behind it. Now that she has a good steady job as a teacher she’s determined for her past to stay in the past. She didn’t count on Boone to intrude in her life distracting her with romance something she hasn’t known for so long. Another thing she didn’t count on was his little girl bewitching her with her innocence and easy to love persona. Can she learn to love when her life has secrets that might make Boone not love her again?
To School a Cowboy is a sweet romance about a father’s love for his daughter showing that there are some men out there who takes extra special care for their children. I fell in love with the little girl and her father. Boone is unlike many men and will forget about work just to make sure his little girl is happy even going as far as opening a day care with a woman that he doesn’t trust that much. What I didn’t like though was Julia she kept stalling and sometimes I wanted to hit her in the head for here was a sensitive, hardworking man who loves her but she pulls away. Now I understand she had issues but I think the author could have maybe had her a little flirtatious instead of seeming like she wasn’t attracted to Boone. All in all it was good and had some villains from introducing us to an ex-wife, a granny who knows certain things that people don’t really see and other characters to mention that made it a good book.
