Teresa Reasor has set the standard high for medieval romance with Highland Moonlight. This book is so captivating I read it twice!

This is a story about love and betrayal. It is also about pushing aside preconceived notions to find the underlying truth of a situation. Lady Mary MacLachlan has been treated very badly by Alexander Campbell, so she demands protection from Alexander’s father. Alexander feels he has violated her for a reason, so he follows her to the castle to straighten things out between them but finds himself in an enormous amount of trouble instead. One thing leads to another, and Mary is pushed to wed him for the good of those around her.

Highland Moonlight has such an engaging and intricate plot it’s difficult to even begin to give the gist of it in such a short review. It is really something that must be read and enjoyed. The plot twists kept me spellbound and just when I thought I had it figured out, the author threw in a new surprise! I think the characters in this book are its strongest feature, though. Mary is an amazing woman, someone I’d love to meet and have for a friend. She’s smart and strong and doesn’t let anyone push her around. Alexander is a true hero, one who tries over and over to prove his worthiness to Mary. This is a fabulous love story. Just writing about it makes me think I’m going to be reading it again!
