Wings of Change
Lucia is a woman who’s had her entire life taken from her. Not only has she lost her homeland, but she’s lost her identity and has become a tavern wench in order to survive. Running for her life and finding solace in the Jinn community she has settled and while sometimes she misses her old life, is relatively happy. When she befriends a dragon, life may change yet again.
Reynor and his knight, Sir Kaden, are both hurt badly. Reynor is physically injured and Sir Kaden is burdened with guilt because of Reynor’s injury. When a strange woman comes to the castle bearing news about his injured dragon, he’s faced with the possibility that his guilt has done more damage than the sword that actually punctured his hide.
Now that Lucia has been introduced to dragon knight life, she can’t seem to shake either Sir Kaden or his friend Sir Marcus. But does she really want them to leave her to return to her life of serving in the tavern?
A slightly different look at Bianca D’Arc’s Dragon Knights, Wings of Change ushers in a new group of characters in the world that has already become a favorite of mine. Still in the same world and still revisiting some of the original characters in the previous books, Wings of Change gives us a look into the rest of the world and brings more fantastical creatures to life. With her usual flair for relationships, Ms. D’Arc brings us a threesome that is very well put together. This new branch of the Dragon Knights series is proving to be very intriguing. I look forward to the next installment and where else she’ll take us.
