When Elaine Llewellyn’s boss sends her on a non-voluntary leave of absence, she doesn’t know what to do with herself. Granted, she’s been working so hard at her Boston corporate job that she’s about to drop from exhaustion, but she likes her life, thank you very much.

With little choice but to go on vacation, Elaine finds herself on a back road in Maine, searching out the bed-and-breakfast where she’s to spend her forced exile. A rainstorm and a blocked road sends Elaine out in the rain to search for shelter. Thinking she’s found her bed-and-breakfast after all, she knocks on the door.

Psychic visionary and artist Damon Thorne answers his door in the middle of the storm to find a drenched woman on his porch, thinking he’s the proprietor of a bed-and-breakfast. The same woman he drew with a passionate flourish a short while ago. Knowing she’s meant to be in his life in one way or another he lets her believe she’s arrived at the B & B after all, and invites her inside.

What follows is a tale of passion, where emotional barriers are tested and psychic gifts are discovered and faced. Soon, the storm is over and Elaine will have to make a choice: the life she knew in the busy city of Boston, or the life she’s discovered with Thorne.

Charlene Teglia has done it again! I loved Only Human! This story was a delightful spin on the psychic sub-genre. The characters were well-developed and three-dimensional. The sex was so sizzling, I had to turn the temperature down on the A/C! I was mesmerized by Thorne’s intuition, peeling away Elaine’s defenses one layer at a time and by the time the story was concluded, I wanted Thorne all for my own. Only Human was just an all-around delicious read. Ms. Teglia, I can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with next!
