A Walk in the Woods

Kirra Pierce takes us on an exciting journey in A Walk in the Woods. Cassandra has been without family and close friends, unwilling to share her heart and possibly be hurt again. She is a trader of spices and medicines familiar with the lands, and aware of the Brethren.

Ty on arrives at the Duke’s holdings and comes across a murder in progress as he battles the killer he is bitten. He informs the leaders in the town and they chain him in a room hoping he won’t transform into a Raver – a shapeshifting wolf, part of the Brethren, but one who has lost his mind and answers only to the bloodlust.

Cassandra is caught when she enters the inn and is given to Ty for a possible victim. If she lives through the night he lives.

Cyn, the Duke, is a bonded brother to Ty, when he hears what happens he immediately heads out to see him.

A Walk in the Woods was a steamy journey and Kirra Pierce took us on a trip of discovery. The story starts with a bang and keeps getting better and better. Her female character is strong and confident, and Ty, although dealing with some serious changes is a man sure of himself and his abilities. The Duke is a powerful and caring individual, but he is hiding something. This was a wonderful read and I wonder if there will be more of the Brethren, I certainly hope so, hint hint.
