Lyssa Bates is an oddity. She can’t seem to control her dreams, yet she can manage to keep the Dream Guardians out. Aidan is sent to help Lyssa. She’s in danger because her lack of a restful night’s sleep leaves her vulnerable to the Nightmares. Aidan never expected to fall in love at all, much less with a mortal woman. Now that he has, he’ll do whatever he has to in order to protect Lyssa from harm; even go against his own kind and go from his world to hers to do so.

Sylvia Day crosses genres with Pleasures of the Night. Well-known for her historical romances, Day truly shines in this paranormal romance story. I LOVED this book! The character development and the world building were really phenomenal. The plot is so elaborate and creative that readers are compelled to keep reading. Pleasures of the Night is an erotic, sensual read. There’s plenty of sex in this book, but it’s the passion and feelings that draw you in more. I can’t say enough about Pleasures of the Night, it really is one of the best books I’ve read all year. The secondary characters add to this story and have me eagerly waiting for the next book in the series, Heat of the Night, to see what comes next. Kudos to Sylvia Day for this excellent book!
