Don’t Let Go
Bree Lancaster Jacobs has spent the last year and a half back packing through Europe after losing her husband Mark to cancer. She comes home to find that her mother-in-law, Marion lost all of her life savings which she had entrusted to an investment counselor. Bree feels so bad about this because she promised Mark that she would look out for her and instead she ran away to deal with losing him. Bree decides to look into the situation for Marion and runs into a man that catches her eye and her interest. The only problem is that his last name is Calder.
The Lancaster’s and the Calder’s have a family feud going where all of the family members hate each other. The young ones don’t ask why they just know that’s the case, and they know to avoid the other family. Bree and Finn Calder have a problem with this. Ever since Finn laid eyes on Bree he has wanted her. He had to do some very serious work to find out who she was, and he is not going to let her go now that he has her.
One character that cannot be left out of this story is Marion Lancaster. She is Bree’s mother-in-law. She welcomed Bree into their home as a daughter to her son and then as a daughter-in-law to him. She is a very feisty woman and makes Bree be the person that she has always been; tough, loyal and one of the more courageous people that Marion knows. She helps to get Bree straightened out and was a great character in the story.
Another great hit from Sydney Somers. I love the whole family thing that she has going with this series, and I cannot wait to see more of these people pulled in to meet their match. I would also like to hear how the feud got started. The attraction between Bree and Finn is so hot from the beginning that you know this will be one of the hottest stories that Ms. Somers has ever written. I’ll be looking forward to more of these stories between the Lancaster’s and the Calder’s.
