Stealing Life by T.A. Chase is a homoerotic Sci/fi/fantasy story.

Rue is contemplating all the things that have gone wrong lately to land him in his present situation, bound buck-naked to a tree waiting to be killed by some wild animal. To be sure, making advances towards the ship captain wasn’t smart, but how was Rue to know that he was from a world where gay love is punishable by death. While waiting Rue promises to stop whoring and stealing which for a thief is a life change, but the unexpected occurs and Rue is rescued by the most handsome man he has ever seem, Vlatko. Vlatko quickly decides to bring Rue home with him. He sees an odd birthmark on Rue that is reminiscent of the firebird tree, which he is tied to, and the firebird, a very strange and beautiful animal living there, besides there is a good chance that if the locals see Rue’s mark they would worship him and putting a thief in that position can’t be good. The attraction quickly spirals out of Vlatko’s control and, in spite of his reservations, Vlatko and Rue experience passion and a connection that is beyond anything they have ever felt before. As they slowly get to know each other, they begin to realize that there are many things they don’t know about each other, beyond being a thief and a killer, many they don’t even know themselves, but could alter the course of their lives. Will Rue and Vlatko find their way through life's obstacle course and find happiness?

Mr. Chase has once again created a story that held me captive from the very start. Rue is a very loveable, cuddly, sneaky and devious thief that the reader reactsto his emotions from the start. There is something inherently loveable about the devious young man that takes hold of the reader. Vlatko is much more than your average assassin and as you get to know him the reader can’t wait to find out how his and Rue’s story will end. Throughout all the twists and turns of the plot, Mr. Chase takes the reader through an action packed story that has both heart and enough adventure to please anyone. Thanks go to Mr. Chase for another creative and captivating story.
