Fury: College Grind / Ouch

Ouch

Allie made the mistake of accidentally mentioning that she wished Yuna was more aggressive in the bedroom. Yuna is distressed and surprised at what she hears, but she plans to give Allie exactly what she asked for…even if it hurts them in the process.

Ouch is a very quick, erotic story that will definitely leave the reader wanting more. Courtney Bee has taken a conversation and allowed the readers to peek in on a couple’s most intimate moments in the most passionate and erotic way. I loved this story, although I found myself wishing that it carried on so I could see the direction that their relationship took afterwards. The whole story is very expertly written, and Ms. Bee has been able to use the language and imagery to suggest a fast, passionate act, which I don’t think any reader will be disappointed with.

College Grind

Violet and Anne got together in college. Living in the same sorority, they ended up in the same room and, in no time at all, became a couple. Although they don’t see a problem with their relationship, they find themselves coming up against opposition from some of the sorority girls, one of whom will not stop until she has had the girls thrown out and split up. Faced with a possibility of never being able to see one another again, the girls take action the only way they can: by going after the girl’s boyfriend.

College Grind is written in the first person, and although it is very often hard to write in first person, Courtney Bee has managed to create a wonderful, well-paced story that readers will just love. All the characters are believable, and although the things that occur in the story are every college guy’s dream, it doesn’t seem out of place. In a very short space of time, Ms. Bee has re-created a world that many readers will be familiar with and uses the setting to bring up issues that some people in same sex relationships have to face every day.

Placing Ouch and College Grind together worked well; although they both had a different slant on the idea of fury, they each demonstrated the talents of Ms. Bee. I cannot say which story I preferred because I loved them both and would highly recommend this book and the author to any fans of f/f fiction.
