Kidnapped

Thanks to her father, Liz Cromwell can have anything money can buy, when all she truly wants is her father’s love. Of course, sometimes money cannot even generate that. In no time she quickly learns the lengths her father will go to press forward in his career. Mac Tyrell is up against a hard situation. He doesn’t want to lose his family’s farm and the bank refuses to grant him an extension. Now he has a month to come up with the money so it will be his free and clear. Desperate situations call for desperate measures, so when he is approached to make money from a kidnapping, he accepts.

Liz was on her way to a day of pampering at a spa when she found herself being abducted. Gagged, tied and blindfolded she can’t fight her way out of this one. She can only hope if they are asking for a ransom, her father will pay it. Mac never imagined that he would feel so much guilt over the kidnapping or that he would fall in love with the lovely Liz. The more Liz begins to spend time with her captor; there is something about him that touches upon her heart. Liz hopes her father will follow through with his end of the deal and pay the ransom, never realizing that there might be consequences. As the day of her release gets closer, Liz and Mac struggle with the newfound feelings they have discovered for each other. While Mac and Liz sort through their feelings and the kidnapping erupts into a larger scale, Liz finds truth about the deal she never imagined.

Kidnapped is a non-stop adrenaline rush right after Liz is taken captive. The heated intensity of the characters almost leaps from the pages. I could feel the emotions of Liz as the tears fell from her eyes as she hoped to get free. I was on the edge of my seat wondering about the real reason for the kidnapping and if Mac’s guilt would continue to eat at him. The situation between Liz and her father is similar to many children who feel unloved by their parents and one can only feel compassion for her. Shiela Stewart cleverly pens a terrific read that holds the reader’s attention while making the characters ooze with believability. Filled with warmth, passion and suspense this sensational read comes as a recommended read!
