A barely making it divorcee, who writes on the side to make ends meet, isn’t the kind of woman that would attract the muscular God in front of her window. Charly’s new neighbor is just what her writer’s block needs. Ryan is a hot well endowed, inspiration of the most carnal kind. Too bad he’s young, in management at her company, and in no way could be interested in a clueless woman like herself. Or could he?

Every time I pick up a Kimberly Zant novel I expect one thing only; some of the most exquisitely enticing sexual encounters the mind can imagine. In Awakened, Ms. Zant doesn’t disappoint, even if she takes us on a bizarre trip before we arrive at the final prize. Charly is your typical woman, needing a little self-confidence and some sexual pleasure in her life. Her encounter with the hunk next door is more than what she needs to assist her with learning how to enjoy life again. The addition of his twin is just gravy for a woman who prior to this point hadn’t experienced a sliver of the passion these two gave her. Outside of wanting to scream at a couple of points in the story, I found this story pretty exciting. The beauty of a Kimberly Zant creation is you may be shocked when you finally get to where she’s going but you’re never disappointed in the journey.
