Orange Moon
Orange Moon by Barbara Sheridan and Anne Cain is the second book that they have written about the rock group ChildsPrey. In written time this book takes place before their previous book Winter Song.
Hideki is a pop idol in Japan, but he is having some trouble putting his song together until he gets some help from a man who he quickly realizes is the bass player from ChildsPrey, another famous rock band. Together they jam a song that is awesome. Toru and Hideki spend some time together and find that they have many things in common, but when Toru attempts to take things further, Hideki takes off. Neither Toru nor Hideki can forget each other, but misunderstandings and mistaken actions occur keeping them apart. Finally, Toru takes matters in his hands and in a very outlandish (with a Toru flair) way he pretends to be something that he isn’t to just get close to Hideki. Toru has managed to get close to Hideki, but at what cost. Will Hideki and Toru ever get back together or will outside forces keep them apart?
Hideki and Toru have many challenges to face between dealing with the public, differing music labels and just family issues that keep the story hopping and the reader in suspense or at times in stitches. Orange Moon is a fast passed book that will hold the reader from the start. Toru and Hideki are two very loveable characters with many quirks and frailties that the reader just falls in love with. Toru is very much in love and will do anything to keep Hideki happy, even at his own detriment. Hideki maybe younger of the two, but he is just as motivated and committed to Toru. Together they portray all love that is flawless and poignant. This is a story that will be a keeper in any ones book shelf. I look forward to more stories about the band ChildsPrey. Thanks goes to Ms. Sheridan and Ms. Cain for such an awesome story.
