Unbound is a metaphor for many things in this lovely paranormal romance by Lori Devoti. Risk is a hellhound bound to a wicked and powerful witch for life, part human his humanity is his downfall with the witch as she tries to make his inner demon take over, after 500 years of torture Risk is anxious to be free. Kara is a twin and has always depended on her sister who is the confident one. When Kara’s sister Kelly goes missing; as afraid as she is, she begins searching for her. In her quest to find her sister she meets Risk who was commanded to bring her back to the witch. Risk finds he is unable to betray Kara and struggles for a way to be free and also help Kara find her sister. Unbeknownst to Kara she is also a witch who has not yet come into her power.

This tale filled with Norse mythology, shapeshifters and witchcraft was a total delight. Unbound takes you to another dimension and this is a joy ride you don’t want to miss. As the adventure begins the characters come to life swelling with emotion, you feel their pain and anger and yet you also celebrate their happiness as it evolves. Lori Devoti has written an awesome paranormal and all I can hope is that she keeps them coming. I would love to hear more about Venge. (Hint, hint)
