Ree Jakobowski has just inherited a small shop and an apartment from an uncle she didn’t know. Since nothing special is keeping her in Detroit, she packs up her belongings and moves to Shirley, Wyoming, hoping to begin a new chapter in her life with this unexpected bequest. But when she wakes in her new apartment to find that she hasn’t been having the most wonderful dream of her life, that there actually is a handsome, virile man in her bed and the two have just experienced sexual bliss—well, that puts an unusual spin on her inheritance.

Sheriff Fitz Hall, never expects to come home to his apartment to find a woman in his bed. He’s been working non-stop, has a miserable head cold and just wants to get some rest. But when a woman writhes beneath him, a very pleasant dream indeed, he does what any other guy would do. He responds. It isn’t until morning that he finds he’s just had sex with his friend Harry’s relation, the woman who’s just inherited Harry’s possessions—including his apartment.

Ree and Fitz begin, in that unlikely manner, a romantic dance that has enough interesting twists and turns to keep anyone interested. I read Crazy ForThe Cowboy by Cindy Spencer Pape in one sitting. The interplay between the two main characters is bright and often funny, and the supporting characters are all interesting as well. The plot kept me hooked, and all too soon this story ended. I haven’t read the first book in this series but this was so entertaining that I plan to read the first one in the near future. I believe that anyone who enjoys a little cowboy loving with their romance will enjoy this book. It is witty and fun and makes me want to take a trip out west—soon!
