Maisy Collins is facing life as a middle-aged woman alone, divorced and her twins off at college; she’s not sure what to do with herself. Wrestling with a leaky sink on her 46th birthday was not what she’d imagined. Giving up and calling a plumber, she is awed and amazed that instead of the stereotypical crack-revealing plumber she gets a beautiful young man with both a body and a face to drool over. After many, many illicit imaginings, he leaves and Maisy is resigned to go back to her normal life. Then comes the birthday present that will literally change her life.

Dean Martini was pleasantly surprised when the adorable woman who answered the door at the Collins’ residence couldn’t seem to keep her eyes off of him. Even though she was older than him, he couldn’t help but feel her eyes on him and try desperately to keep his body from reacting and embarrassing him. When a quirk of Fate brings them together again; he follows his instincts and pursues her with the focus that only a man intent on having a woman can have.

From the fond-of-genitals dog, Max, to the Beano incidents, Mr. Fullservice was a laugh-out-loud book that also brought me to tears. A May-December relationship, Dean and Maisy were amazing to watch together. Maisy was a true representation of so many women who’ve had children. Self-conscious about the scars of motherhood she was gently coaxed by a man that was just plain awesome. The patience and sensitivity that Dean exhibited was so (gotta gush) COOL. I mean the things he did and said just made my heart melt, then there were the things he did, not going to go into my responses to those here. I have to say that this was a truly feel good book that brought me to tears in both empathy and laughter. Very, very well done Ms. Storm.
